A NOTE FROM NINA BOGDAN,
FOUNDER OF STUDIO ANATTA.

My personal journey began in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, where I was born. I left home at 15 to follow a deep desire to explore the world and began working internationally in the fashion industry. For 20 years I traveled around the globe learning and being inspired by different cultures, art, and my truest love, music. Along the way, I discovered a path that led me into a deeper understanding of human consciousness. I later graduated with a Masters in Psychology, and soon thereafter was certified as a life coach.

9 years ago, I moved to NYC to open up new horizons for myself and for my now 12-year old daughter. Here I was introduced to yoga, meditation, and other holistic self-exploration practices. I always had a deep calling for helping people which threaded throughout my life and expressed itself in so many different ways. Music’s powerful role for me eventually began to weave into my practices, and once I discovered the therapeutic power of sound, I had absolute clarity as to what my calling was.

I received my formal training in sound therapy under the guidance of David Shemesh (WOOM Center NYC), Alexandre Tannous, Guy Yair Beider and other master teachers. Through the synthesizing of my knowledge and personal insight, I collect, adapt, and integrate an array of modalities, which combined, invite people into deeper self-inquiry and trauma release. I’ve found this work to be the most transformative, powerful, deeply healing, and inspiring.

I am a naturally curious ‘student of life’. I recognize that we are all in a constant state of evolution and see myself no differently. Thus, I’m frequently exploring my own personal development in order to better meet participants where they’re at, practice with an open heart, and to be able to create a field of pure intention.

I am profoundly honored to serve. And thrilled to share this work with you!

ANATTA SOUND JOURNEYS HAVE FIVE KEY INGREDIENTS.

Visualization 

Visualization Is a mindfulness technique and powerful exercise for overcoming challenges and creating the behaviors that you want to actualize.
We use visualization exercises to help relax our bodies and mind, to get in touch with our own energy, or to connect with something greater than ourselves. Visualization also helps us to develop both creativity and focus as we train our mind’s eye to work in new ways in order to form detailed images. This tool is also commonly used as a form of image recollection and release. By getting to know and utilizing the space behind our forehead known as Chidakasha (which translates to “the space of consciousness”), we become attuned to different facets of our own awareness.
Thus visualization can help us to overcome obstacles, and, ultimately, to envision leading our lives to our fullest potential.

Breathwork

We leverage breathwork inspired by a Holotropic approach. Through this type of therapeutic breathing practice, we can tap into our innate inner wisdom and move toward wholeness and a positive transformation. We all have an inner healing intelligence, yet life, stress, trauma, and other constrictions and limitations get in the way of accessing it. With this healing practice, we can experience non-ordinary states of consciousness to move beyond our egos, beyond our bodies, and to touch into our own spirit and true self. This practice can also open up new channels for connection to others and the world.

Vocal Toning

Of all sounds, the human voice is the most powerful instrument, and vocal toning is an important sound healing technique. Vocal toning harnesses the vibration of your voice for stress relief, relaxation, and restoration of our harmony and balance. It is one of the most effective, safest, easiest, most natural, and expansive forms of sound therapy. The practice of vocal toning for therapeutic purposes dates back thousands of years. Once you learn this simple practice you can easily integrate it into your daily life.

Sound 

Sound has always been a vital, creative, and spiritual tool for transformation. It changes the nature of reality — the reality that we create for ourselves and those around us. We bring to bear a variety of overtone-emitting instruments from different cultures across the globe; Gongs, Himalayan singing bowls, Tuning forks, Bells, Chimes, and more. and synthesize them in one cohesive practice. Skillful use of these instruments facilitates consciousness-altering states that attune the listener to higher levels of self-awareness and realization. We play them individually, and in an intuitive sequence to give you a very pure experience of each instrument in order to fully explore your consciousness. Each journey is unique in that we attune to the present energetic field and play the musical cords of your emotions, and your soul.

Practice of Integration 

Integration is an essential component of our journey, as well as any other work in expanded states of consciousness. Exploration with sound and other techniques has an impact on the totality of our being and our lives on physical, mental, emotional, environmental, and spiritual levels. You may very likely emerge from a journey with new visions, awakenings, inspirations, joy, sadness…the experiential and emotional range is vast.
We see the conclusion of a sound journey as a potential new beginning for you. We hold the final time period of the journey as a sacred moment and safe space where we share our experiences with each other. It’s also an opportunity to create love and compassion for ourselves and each other. And realize that we are all one.
